A test in Sarasota — the first three requests are free

requests for house painters Email Petter

Homeowners who want their house repainted — passed to one painter.

I write to Sarasota homeowners whose houses look, in a Street View image, like they're due for an exterior repaint. When one of them asks for a quote, the request goes to one local painter and nobody else.

How it works

Three steps

1

I look at houses

Street by street, in Street View images no more than a few months old.

2

I write to the owners

A letter to the homeowners whose exterior looks due for paint, inviting them to ask for a quote.

3

You get the request

When one asks, you get the homeowner's name, phone number, e-mail and address. You call them and quote the job as you normally would.

What a request looks like

A homeowner who has asked for a quote

Not a list of addresses: every request is a homeowner who filled in the form or called, and said they want a painter to contact them.

What you receive

The homeowner's own request, by e-mail, as soon as you accept it — with the details you need to call them the same day.

I'm testing an idea: whether a letter to the right homeowners turns into real painting jobs. All I ask in return for the free requests is a word on how each one went.

One painter per request — I never pass the same request to two painters.
